FastCall411

(sorry, white background makes it tough to read) (mashable coverage here)

Say you need a plumber. Say it.

Okay, you said it. Using this service, you do a local search and fastcall411 actually calls local plumbers until one picks up the phone and talks to the customer.

As a business, you get a call that says “this is fastcall411. we’ve got someone on the line that needs a plumber ASAMFP. Press one, and you’ll be connected.” FastCall411 then sees which merchant accepted the call, and that merchant will be moved up in their SERPS.

3:00 pm-Sway (shoutlet)

(PS- this is a company, not the guy from MTV. thank you.)

Shoutlet- Analytics and campaign management for social media campaigns. Rather than just being a widget creation platform or just an analytics app, they’re doing both. You can create, manage, and measure widgets from one central location.

3:08 PM-Pudding Media-

Really looking forward to this, as these guys are really getting bashed online. See this article.

You go to pudding.com and enter the phone number. Pudding uses speech recognition technology to deliver contextual ads.

I can understand why people don’t like this idea, but it’s fairly easy to ignore ads if you’re getting free calls, right?

This is actually really cool looking. I want to try it just to see what ads will come up based on what I say. It might be a fun little game to try out.

I’m also curious if there’s a way to block the ads and still use the service for free calls. Hmmmmm.

360Desktop

(mashable coverage here)

Their tech allows you to expand your desktop panoramically. Just think of your windows desktop, but you can scroll horizontally. Useful to me because I just have too many icons on my desktop.

3:20 pm- myndnet

(mashable coverage here)

Using myndnet, you can get paid for answering questions and sending leads. Their service reminds me a lot of google answers, but is for both research purposes and leads.

Their answer page shows pending questions, and how much the poster is willing to pay for an answer.

For instance, right now you can get $14 if you can send someone that fits the following “Know any Directors of Product Management at Internet companies?”
