Planning Stages…
First a couple of announcements:
We’ve recently launched a print edition of CustomScoop’s magazine, Media Bullseye. Our editor-in-chief and publisher, Chip Griffin, has all the information for subscribing and a PDF download of the first edition here. Please check it out, we are very excited to be contributing to the print medium, as it’s something all of us at Media Bullseye believes in, despite our obvious dedication to online media.
Next up…I want some ideas. Nate and I are both interested in launching some multimedia elements here on Blogstring, me in particular. I host Media Bullseye’s weekly Roundtable podcast, and have really gotten into it, even learning the basics of working with audio (though I definitely still have a lot to learn!).
I’ve been entertaining a growing interest in launching a Blogstring podcast as well, obviously with Nate as the cohost. Problem is, I’m not sure how we should go about it. The Roundtable has a set format with me and two guests discussing the latest issues in social media, McLaughlin style (but with at least 37 percent less shouting, though I am at least an equally obnoxious host) (if by “obnoxious” you mean “inexperienced and nervous-sounding”). I would prefer not to imitate that style with a Blogstring podcast,
So what would our format be like? What sorts of things would we discuss? I’m honestly not sure, and think we can file that one under “planning stages”. Nate and I will have to hash it out, preferably over beers (and hey, if those beers happened to have blueberries in them, I’m not going to complain). In the meantime, we’d love your suggestions.
Also: many of you enjoyed the awesomeness that was March’s Blogstring Pubcrawl. Well, we’re cooking up another event for this summer, and if things go the way we’d like them to we are hoping it will be even bigger and better. This will involve a lot more work; we’re definitely thinking big enough to require sponsorship of some kind. Stay tuned for more information–by making this pre-announcement announcement I am basically forcing my esteemed co-blogger and I into getting off our respective couches and making these plans happen–can’t disappoint anyone now, can we?
(Who am I kidding, we probably can…but we’ll try not to!)
(Check me out, I made it through a whole post without apologizing for how sporadically I post! Oh, shoot.)
