Insurance Spam Makes Me Want To Kick Puppies. And I Really Like Puppies. That’s Just How Mad I Am Right Now.
Spam. Everyone gets it. Everyone hates it. But I suppose it’s just something you have to live with, right? But I just don’t understand why 99% of the spam comments I get here on blogstring.com have to do with insurance. It boggles my mind. I mean, I know that the spam left here is left by mindless bots constructed for no other purpose than finding a text box and submitting garbage. I get that. But what’s the thought process here?
- People visit blogs
- Those people may choose to click through to a second page in order to read comments
- Out of those that click through, some may need insurance
- If an uninsured person reads the comments and sees our comment, they might click through to our site despite the obviously worthless comment our bot left
- Out of the few that click through to our site, some may in fact buy insurance from us. I mean, who wouldn’t want to buy insurance from a company who decides that spamming blogs is a good way to promote their business?
